Schnittmuster Kaftan

  1. I’m watching all your blog, you make a really good job 🙂 And I have another question for you 😉
Your caftan seems pretty fitted : how much fullness did you add to your chest measurements ? I add to much fullness on the caftans I make, they look good but I’d like to be able to make some fitted one and I have no idea how to do it without the cloth to be too tight…

  2. Aye

There are a lot of small details, without them, such a simply pattern like a caftan (in fact, it is the “bocksten bog man”) will ever stay as a “bag”.

    – shoulders: You can see the turquoise 2cm-edges there. So it fits on my shoulder-width, and the arms look also more fitable.
    – width of the arms on the shoulder: Try less. 😉 (And the small square under the armpit: Try a more rhomboidic piece, 12cm long & 8cm width.
    – and, at the end: I only add 2-4cm to my chest. (During measuring, breath in to the maximum.)

It may help if the chest is bigger than the waist…. 😉

Also here: If you’ve got more questions; Ask.

    Regards
    Kendra
